Frequently Asked Questions
Is my child too old to begin taking dance lessons?
It’s never too late to start dancing! Contact us for your options.
May I watch my child’s class?
Parents are always invited to watch their child’s class via color monitors in our lobby. This format provides the opportunity for them to see what their child experiences in class without distracting them from the lesson the instructor has prepared. CDA’s annual Parent Observation Week is held in February. During that week, each dancer is allowed to invite two guests to sit in on their classes.
My child wants to take more than one class. How is the tuition amount determined?
Tuition amounts are based on the amount of time a student is in class each week, not on the number of classes a student takes. Please contact our office for information regarding your student’s specific situation.
What are my options for paying tuition?
Having a credit/debit card saved on file in their account is a requirement for all CDA families. We run Auto-Pay each month for tuition payments, but you always have the option to make payments prior to the Auto-Pay processing date. This may be done by paying online through your portal or in-person with cash, a check, or any major credit/debit card.
My son has shown interest in dance. What classes are available for boys?
Boys love to dance too! Our dance studio is open to anyone, and all genres, activities, and themes are designed for both boys and girls. Learn more here.
Will my child have an opportunity to perform in a recital?
We celebrate the completion of each dance season with an annual recital in May. General information is given to families when they register for classes, and details regarding costumes and other costs are sent out regularly to all families enrolled. Participation is optional.
Do you have classes when school is out for holidays or bad weather?
All holiday closings are posted in our CDA calendar. We follow the Maury County Public Schools for weather-related closings.
What does my child need to wear to class?
You can view our general dress code here. For a more detailed dress code, please call our office or see your Parent Portal.
